Two Great Winter Beaches

Two Great Winter Beaches

The beaches of the Oregon Coast are some of the most beautiful in the world. Long stretches of sandy beach are broken up by striking, evergreen forested cliffs, while giant sea-encircled monoliths like Haystack Rock complete the scenery. It’s no wonder that people come from all over the world to visit.

But did you know that, popular as these beaches are, you can have them pretty much all to yourself?

All it takes is knowing the right time of year to visit!

That time of year is right now. With school in session, work going full throttle and winter rain to discourage most people’s visits, the beaches of the coast are mostly empty. But don’t be fooled. This time of year is actually one of the neatest times to sea the coast!

While it’s true that summer means sunny days and calmer waters, winter means the awesome beauty of stormy seas crashing on the coast, fewer visitors (as we’ve mentioned), and significantly lower¬†rates on motel rooms!

Here are two of our favorite beaches to visit during the winter. Check them out and plan your visit soon before the crowds start coming back!
