It may be getting chilly at the coast, but there is still plenty of fun to be had. Here are the top Fall events in Cannon Beach and Seaside that should be on your calendar:
Halloween Bash at the Coaster Theatre in Cannon Beach, October 29th 7:30pm (doors open at 6:30):
Enjoy an evening featuring guitar virtuoso Aaron Larget-Caplan, his concert is partly inspired by Mexican holiday of Day of the Dead (Día de los muertos). There will also be a costume dance competition, presentation by Cannon Beach belly dance groups and a preview of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).
Boos, Blues and Brews & Halloween Happenins’, October 28th-31st:
Fun in Downtown Seaside with kids crafts, face painting, costume contests, decorated business and pumpkin contests. There is also a Pet Costume Parade & Contest, local brews, blues music, food and award-winning entertainment by Alex Zerbe, the ‘Zaniac.’

Murder Mystery Dinner, October 30th 6-9pm:
The Murder Mystery Company of Portland, is putting on a murder mystery at Maggie’s on the Prom. It is a 1920’s themed show titled, “Crime and Pun-ishment”. To really get into the theme, come in your best 1920’s outfit, although a costume is not required. There will be a 3 course meal while diners enjoy the murder mystery. Tickets include dinner and the show. This show is for adults ages 18 and older.
Downtown Trick or Treating, October 31st 2-5pm:
Trick or treat at local businesses.
29th Annual Cannon Beach Stormy Weather Arts Festival, November 4th-6th:
Three full days of art and musical events. The festival kicks off with a concert in the Coaster Theatre by Grammy-nominated singer songwriter Ellen Whyte and her five-piece band. Throughout the festival, the galleries in Cannon Beach will showcase the artists they represent, with many of the artists on site to show their newest work or to conduct demonstrations. There are over a dozen galleries in Cannon Beach.
On Saturday there will be live musical performances throughout the town during the day. The morning Stormy Weather Fashion Show will feature fashions from local designers and galleries. The weekend will culminate with an Art in Action dinner and auction where professional artists will demonstrate their work. The evening will also feature live music.

Seaside Downtown Wine Walk, November 12th 3-7pm:
More than 20 Oregon wineries participate in this walk where visitors walk through Downtown Seaside following a ‘wine map’ and taste wine at stations at different merchant, hotel and restaurant venues. Complimentary appetizers are offered too.
- A commemorative event wine glass ($10.00) and ID bracelet will be required for wine tasting.
- Must be 21 or over to participate.
- Wine glasses and ID bracelets can be purchased at The Carousel Mall – 300 Broadway from 1:00-6:30 pm. There will be two stations in the mall.
- Wine glass sales and ID check stations will be open from 1:00-6:30 pm on event day for pre-sales. Wine tastings will start at 3:00 pm.
- Wineries will be charging nominal tasting fees.
- A map listing the participating wineries and businesses will be available at the 3 ID check stations.
